When I photograph people, I think of my pledge. I think of how on most instances, how we decide that melancholy and despair suit our mood. So I release the shutter on the fleeting seconds when everything is genuine— on candid moments when I can see your teeth, or your dimples, or lips painting a smirk that teases bliss. When your hair is mid-swayed by the breeze, or the lithe movements of how you cover your mouth when you laugh so I can capture the euphoria that lurks in your expression, of smiles that flash such unguarded warmth, and giggles that reverberate on the air between us.
